The panning action can be controlled using the Zoom Actions property, which is available for individual axis.
  • Axis-Title Draw Mode -  Essential Chart now supports displaying ellipses at the end of the axis title when the title text exceeds axis bounds. This feature is supported for both primary and secondary axes.
  • Hide Chart-Series Gaps -  Essential Chart supports hiding the gap between chart series points. This feature works only when the Axes Indexed property is set to true. This feature allows users to hide unwanted spaces in the chart area.
  • Multiple Chart Titles -  Essential Chart provides support to add and customize multiple titles. Different docking styles—Floating, Left, Right, Bottom, and Top—can be specified for each title. Each custom title can be aligned to any position required.
  • Multiple Chart Legends -  Multiple custom chart legends can be added to the Chart Web Legends Collection. Different docking styles—Floating, Left, Right, Bottom, and Top—can be specified for each legend. Each custom legend can be aligned to any position as required.

Essential Diagram ASP .NET

  • Organizational Chart Layout with Vertical Node Alignment -  The organizational chart layout manager now supports a vertical layout (waterfall model) in addition to the existing horizontal layout. Users can specify the rank (level) from which the vertical layout must be applied.
  • User Guide and Class Reference -  Essential Diagram’s User Guide and Class Reference have been completely revamped, providing users with a clear walk-through of features and Diagram usage.
  • Performance Improvement -  Essential Diagram’s performance has been greatly improved. This performance enhancement offers the addition of a large number of nodes, with or without connections, within a few seconds.

Essential Grid Grouping ASP .NET

  • XHTML Mode -  This grid comes with a new property called Enable XHTML. Setting this property to true will enable the grid to render in W3C- XHTML 1.0 and W3C-CSS. This enhances grid performance in rendering large volumes of data with clean HTML markup. The grid also has a built-in pager and supports themes using CSS. It includes basic functionalities such as paging, sorting, grouping, nested tables, and much more.
  • Ungroup Button -  The grid can be grouped using the Group button in the header. Once the grid is grouped, the Group button is hidden and an Ungroup button is displayed. This Ungroup button is displayed in the form of an image icon.

Essential Tools ASP .NET

  • Enhanced Upload Box and Upload Progress -  AutoFormat support is available for UploadBox and UploadProgress controls with five predefined AutoFormat options. The Upload Progress layout and its progress style have been greatly improved. Custom skin support has also been added to these controls.
  • ASP.NET AJAX-Based Client-Side Object Model -  All Tools controls for ASP.NET have added support for an ASP.NET AJAX-based client-side object model. All-side API and client-side properties can be accessed with the $find(“this.ClientID”) method instead of ClientObjectID. This model makes using the client-side APIs and its properties much easier.
  • Node Sorting -  With this feature implementation, tree-view nodes can be automatically sorted in ascending or descending orders based on hierarchy and text property.
  • Editor Control Support to Bind with Data Source as Parameter Values -  Editor controls can now be bound as parameters of a data source wizard. Using this feature, editor controls can be used as data-source parameter values. They can be bound to appropriate database fields during design time.
  • Layout Controls -  Two new controls—LayoutPanel and TableLayout—have been added. With these controls, easily set the position and size for the child controls and manipulate their content alignment.
  • AJAX Pop-up -  AJAX Pop-up is a new control that enables displaying loading images and text during asynchronous operations. This pop-up can be directly wired with the ASP.NET AJAX update panel. Hence, during each asynchronous post-back, the pop-up is displayed with the given loading image and loading text.

  • Built-in Edit-Delete Options -  The Schedule control has a Delete icon, used to delete appointments, on the view strip. However, it is not possible to delete the appointment if the View Strip Visible property was set to false.  Syncfusion have implemented a new feature to Edit and Delete appointments using built-in options for each appointment. The Edit and Delete icons are visible at the top-right corner of the appointment-area upon mouse-hover. With these buttons, users can Edit or Delete appointments dynamically.
  • Show Category GroupBar -  In the Schedule’s horizontal mode, there is a GroupBar for every category that extends automatically when resizing a Schedule appointment. This new feature enables users to show or hide the category GroupBar. This is available only in the horizontal mode.
  • Color Settings -  This feature supports defining default background and time-span colors for an appointment using the ShowLabelAs and ShowTimeAs properties. The ShowLabelAs property can be used to set the background color of an appointment and the ShowTimeAs property can be used to set the time-span color of an appointment. These features can be utilized to categorize and prioritize appointments. Customized background and time-span colors can be defined using the BackGroundColor and TimeSpanColor properties, respectively.
  • Category Row Events -  A category can group many resources. This feature returns details of all resources under a category when it is selected. Since finding a specific resource among many resources under each category is inconvenient, this feature can be utilized to find a resource efficiently. An event for the category row returns details of all the resources for the selected category. This feature has both server and client-side events for category row clicks.

Essential Grid ASP.NET

  • Pass-Through Grouping Data Source -  Essential Grid now supports binding to a Language-Integrated Query (LINQ) by using a Pass-Through Grouping Data Source. Binding a grid to LINQ results has many advantages. The grid is bound to LINQ results generated by the Pass-Through Grouping Data Source engine; thus, data from the data source can be retrieved on-demand (e.g., by expanding a collapsed group). When the Pass-Through Grouping Data Source is bound to a grid, the data source will page, sort, and group all tasks internally in the engine; finally, it yields an IEnumerable data source. The engine generates LINQ queries dynamically on-demand; this improves performance and reduces server overhead.
